Hi Pelle, Thanks! I appreciate your response to my post, I plan to create more in the near future. Your work sounds interesting as I’m fascinated by all things related to introspection. I will check it out!
I love the idea of not judging others because everyone has their own tastes and opinions. I also follow that and get very confused with those who don't. I have a different reason however. My reasoning is that people dont really choose their opinions or beliefs anyway. They're views are based mostly on things they had no control over.
I was born to black parents, in a city, all my friends listened to hip hop, no one around me listened to country. So it's no question why I prefer hip hop over something like country. But I would never say something like "hip hop is better than country", because if I was born as a white person in say South Dakota to parents that always listened to country, I would probably prefer country. So it's insane to me to get angry at people because they have different opinions and views... If you weren't you, you would also have different opinions and views
I agree. People's tastes, preferences and opinions are primarily shaped through their environment and everything in it (Family, friends, location etc).
And some people hold firmly onto their beliefs and opinions and have no idea why. A lot of that has to do with how closely they associate their identity with their beliefs.
Taking all of that into consideration, along with qualia, I can't see myself judging others that feel and think differently than me.
Hey! I saw your post pop up on my homepage and wanted to show some support. If you get a chance, I’d really appreciate a little love on my latest newsletter too always happy to boost each other!

A word for the world where I live when I don't login to real.
I love this article so much. The concept of qualia keeps me up almost every night, at least now I have a word for it lol.
Thank you so much for that. I think about Qualia so much, I just had to write about it. Glad you now have a word that describes it!
